Monitoring with Remote Sensing-

Using Modis satellite imagery capable of measuring greenness ORC has developed techniques that correlate the imagery with vegetation productivity. This information helps a manager know where it has rained, if a pasture has recovered from use, what should be the future stocking rate and if an area has been irrigated. Thus, better decisions can be made for future grazing, whether to increase or decrease the stocking rate and how to market and protect the forage of the landscape and/or where to develop forage.
